Social Reading and Collaborative Annotation

Social Reading and Collaborative Annotation Online

This workshop will showcase the ways social reading and collaborative annotation can be used as a valuable way to assess student work. We will explore two social annotation tools that integrate with Canvas: Perusall and Hypothesis. Perusall is a tool that allows students to read and annotate documents, videos, and other media collaboratively. It promotes peer-to-peer engagement through crowdsourced annotations of course material. Hypothesis is a collaborative web annotation tool that allows students to annotate digital text like websites, pdfs, and more.

Please visit the ITDS Website for additional resources.on Hypothesis and Perusall.
