Fridays with ITDS: Empowering Students to Shape Public Knowledge: Using WikiEdu in Your Course Online

Looking to empower your students with practical research and synthesis skills which contribute to the public good? Jerise Fogel, Adjunct of Classics and General Humanities, joins Fridays with ITDS to share how she incorporates WikiEdu into her Humanities courses. WikiEdu turns students into contributors to the world’s largest online encyclopedia. Wikipedia often faces skepticism in academic settings, but Jerise will show how WikiEdu offers students an opportunity to research, synthesize, and enhance articles with reliable sources.

Fridays with ITDS is a monthly interview series in a casual, informal virtual learning space spotlighting the unique contributions University faculty, staff, and leadership are providing to teaching and learning at Montclair State University.
