Lunch & Learn - Neurodiversity 101: Neuroinclusive Workplace Practice and Neuroinclusive Leadership (IN-PERSON - COLE HALL 340)

"Neurodiversity" has become a buzzword--you've certainly heard the term, maybe even used it, and perhaps not been entirely sure what it means or could mean.  Basic concepts and terms such as neurodiversity, neurodivergence, neuronormativity, neurotypicality, neuroinclusive, etc., might seem confusing to you, and although you'd like to be inclusive in your practice and in your leadership, perhaps you're not yet entirely comfortable with the language and the ideas of neuroinclusivity, in particular.  This lack of familiarity with or awareness of the concepts might make it difficult for you to exercise neuroinclusive workplace practices, let alone to develop neuroinclusive leadership.

Please join us for this Lunch and Learn with Professor Alicia A. Broderick to discuss neurodiversity in the workplace.  Drawing upon her own work as well as upon the work of other scholars and professionals, Dr. Broderick will engage us in an exploration of the value of neurodiversity--human neurological diversity--to workplaces such as our university.  Together we will also discuss what neuroinclusive practices in the workplace look like, and what the cultivation of neurodivergent talent and leadership might look like as well.
