PM 101: Workshop 6 - Introduction to Project Management
Location: In-Person | COLE 340
Date: Mar 12, 2026
Time: 1pm – 3pm
Facilitator: David Vincenti
The primary goal of this workshop is to introduce project management and the seven essential questions that every project manager should ask before embarking on a project. In addition, the workshop will introduce the organizing framework of project management, including the key principles, knowledge domains, life cycle, processes, tools, and techniques. Where relevant, the Project Management Institute (PMI) and its certifications will be discussed.
As a part of the workshop, we are planning three activities:
- Discussion on the projects in your professional and personal work
- Envision how the seven questions apply to your current or previous projects
- Examine what many consider to be the most important planning document in project management – the project charter
